About Kevin Lee Magner

Performing solo over the past twenty years gave Kevin time to ponder; the result is a collection of well crafted songs which reminisce times gone by and celebrate the days to come.  After working for two years with recording engineer and guest guitarist, Scott Bradley, the Me’lange cd finally made its debut.  The cd showcases thirteen tracks, twelve of the songs are originals which explore topics ranging from love lost to love won and everything in between,  changing times and the changing face of America (“You Can‘t Go There Anymore“), lifestyles which elicit envy (“Mr. Poke Along“),  and a remarkable array of moods which borrow from a variety of genres.  Elements of  blues, gospel, rock, folk, and bluegrass are evident throughout.

Kevin performs solo acoustically from time to time in smaller, more intimate venues, but lately he has performed most events as part of the acoustic trio, Locozonely, comprised of vocalist (and sister) Mary Magner-Pender and guitarist Scott Bradley, both of whom are artists in their own right.  In addition, he has put together, along with Mary and Scott, a five piece electric band with a drummer and a bassist for the purpose of playing to a larger audience and performing songs from the Me’lange cd as they were meant to be played.  The music of Bound to Happen rocks, so bring your dancing shoes.
